Wisdom
Drugs and Alcohol are very dangerous. I know for a fact that I will never get involved in either of the two. The long term and short term side effects aren’t worth the high. Even when I am an adult I am going to refrain from alcohol. I think that people who have to get high or drunk to have fun, must be some really boring people.
Mark my word. I am never having a sip of alcohol. It doesn’t seem practical to waste my time and money while I barley know what i am doing or know how to walk. When I have kids, I am going to give them all of my incite on drugs and inform them so they know how to stay true to themselves and not do drugs or alcohol. I am very confident in myself that I can stay away from those things, despite pure pressure.

Heroin
I thought that the article was very moving and powerful. It showed how anyone can be a victim of this horrible drug. It gave examples of many of the victims. Heroin has taken the lives of over 80 young people in Orange County in the last four years.
They say that one way we can help is to call 911 if we see a friend that is using it or addicted to it. A lot of heroin addicts end up stealing or peddling for money to support their addiction. Its sad, but true. I think that if more people are informed on this growing problem, then we can prevent the fatalities of a lot of people.

For or Against
When asked whether or not I believe in the legalization of marijuana, I am filled with many different thoughts and opinions, but all in all i guess you could say I believe in it to an extent. I will explain why.
I think that marijuana should be used as medicine, and only medicine. It is very helpful for a patient going through chemotherapy. It helps their nausea and sometimes if that can be controlled, they can be nursed back to health. It is also known to treat people with aids. Another reason that I believe it is a good thing to have around is because it is a natural seizure medicine. Most seizure medicine comes with really bad side effects that include shakiness, weight gain, and problems focusing. I know for a fact that it can medically improve people's life. I personally know people who have benefitted from it.
Although I believe in the legalization of Marijuana, I think it would have been better if they just legalized the pills, and the concentrated drops. I don't think it should be legal for people to smoke it. People are just abusing it and getting high off of it. I think that if Obama is worried about "THE PEOPLE" and their health then he should make cigarettes illegal. They cause cancer, lung disease, and many other fatal things. Ya sure, Its going to cost some money... a lot of money, but in my opinion I would rather have my friends not smoke cigarettes and have less money for new roads then make tax money off of what is killing our country. Anyways, marijuana doesn't cause much danger to anyone.

My Favorite Movie
I think my favorite all time movie would be 50 First Dates starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. It is a hilarious romantic comedy. I think it is a great movie to get your mind off of things for a while and it makes you have a positive outlook on life.
In the movie Drew Barrymore (Lucy) suffers from short term memory from a car accident she was in. Adam Sandler (Henry) unknowingly falls in love with her and is willing to go through anything to simply get her to remember him the next day. It is a great story of love and hardships but it still maintains a balance of comedy.
This movie is exactly what it says it is. Henry and Lucy go on 50 first dates. Henry gets pretty clever when it comes to finding a way of getting her to remember him. This is a movie I can watch over and over again. I would recommend this movie to anyone. I couldn't imagine anyone disliking this movie.

Hello. I see everyones's life is like a Children's book. It is filled with many exciting adventures if you take a moment to read it through, but if you read the back of the book, sometimes it can ruin the book for you. It is more fun to read when you are flipping the page to a new, vibrant picture every time. I guess what I am trying to say here is to live life in the moment. Truly look around and enjoy the view. We are blessed with so many things and we hardly ever take the time to truly appreciate what we have.
Being sixteen, all of my friends are looking into colleges that are miles away from home. These colleges require GPA's that are pretty much straight A's. My friends are staying awake until about two o'clock in the morning just to finish homework. I have learned that social lives just don't exist for most kids my age anymore. They feel the pressure of getting into a good college so they go to drastic measures to fulfill that. It puts too much stress on the kids. I have also learned that a good majority of the kids that move far away from their loved ones, don't end up completely happy. I want to go to a community collage and enjoy my life a little bit more. I want to live in the moment. Oh and the price is a lot cheaper at a community college too.
I know that soon enough I will be an adult with responsibilities and I won't have time to do some of the things I can do now. Such as, enjoying family time, hanging out with friends, learning more about my church, writing a blog, serving others, and learning more about what makes me, me. That is my New Years Resolution, to be a kid. You may think its silly but, ask yourself, when was the last time you truly lived in the moment?

My Favorite Hobby
I have a lot more than just ONE favorite hobby, but one of my favorite things to do is to put my artistic abilities to the test. I like to go onto Etsy and look for new ideas of things I can make. I own a sewing machine that I like to mess with. I havent gone too far on that but i have made a blanket and i plan on making another one. The next one I plan on making will hopefully look like this one.
Another thing I like to make is hair clips. I have been making them since I was about ten. I used to get orders for like ten at a time from people. It was an awesome little mini buisness I had. Now have passed on the skill to my little 9 year old sister and her friends. I taught my little sister about a year ago and now my sister and her friends make them with me and I let them go off and sell them to make a little bit of money. They look a little like these.

About Me
Hi! My name is Charly Riggs and I am from Mesa, Arizona. I moved to california about four years ago. Most people think we moved here for my parents' work or something, but thats not the case. My dad's work can go anywhere so we simply moved for the weather. I am the 2ng oldest of four with two boys and two girls. I enjoy writing, drawing, painting, and photography. I recently got into tumbler and I am loving making new themes and switching up my blog.
When I am not in my office working on art related stuff, I like to spend time with my new puppy. She is a six month old, Old English Bull Dog. I like taking her on bike rides. She has gotten really good at running along side of me. I like to do a lot of things but I would stop anything to hang out with friends. I have the best friends in the world. I wouldnt know what to do without them. This is just a little bit of me, there's a lot more!
