My Top 5 Career Choices

1. Phycology- Play therapy

I want to do this because it would help out many kids who cant’t communicate their feelings through talking. It would make me feel good knowing I am helping others in my work.

2. Culinary Degree

It would be cool to get a culinary degree and become a chef on a cruise ship for a few years before I settle down and have a family. It would also be nice to learn how to cook for my loved ones.

3. Anesthesiologist

Besides the fact that this job pays some big bucks, I think I would be pretty good at it. I have always been interested in medicine and how it works with our bodies.

4. Phlebotomist

I think that being a Phlebotomist would be something good to have because no matter what happens in the world, they are always in need of phlebotomists. Another reason I would like this job is because I have always liked watching my blood get drawn. I have been fascinated with it since I was a kid.

5. Nanny - Full Time

It would be pretty fun to be a nanny for someone who travels a lot. I really like kids and I love taking care of them. It would also pay well. I knew a few girls who did it and had a blast getting to know the families.

#20 Perseverence

I have many goals in life but among them are having a reliable career that I can always fall back on once I get married. I want to have the ability to know that no matter what happens, I have a degree that I can rely on. I am not sure what I want to do yet but I am thinking of maybe getting a culinary degree, getting a masters in phycology and studying play therapy, or getting a license to be a phlebotomist. In order to do this I must keep up a good work ethic and get good grades. I have already been exploring new careers by taking the ROP culinary internship class. This will get me real work experience for my future.

Free Choice- broken families

The Need for Structure in a Kids Life

In my opinion, every kid should grow up with a father figure and a mother figure. They are both very important in establishing a whole human being. I am thankful to be born into a family with a mother, father, and 3 siblings, but, I have many friends who were born into broken families and I can tell that it hurts them as I get to know them.

A staggering forty-eight percent of kids today are born into broken families. Most of the time one of the parent takes on the kid and the other just pays child support. I do not think this is fair. It isn’f fair to the parent who takes complete care of the child and it isn’t at all fair to the child.

Teenagers that were raised by a single parent are more likely to abuse alcohol, end up with a mental problem or even commit suicide. It is really sad but those are just the facts. I hope that as a country we can do something to make this change.

My Conversation with Ryan Seacrest

If I could sit down and have a conversation with Ryan Seacrest I would ask him many things. I would start off asking him how he manages to get no criticism from the media. I think it is amazing how I have never heard a bad thing about him on the news yet, he is always in the public eye. I don’t know how any one could do that.

After that I would ask him about all of the people he has had the chance to meet. I would ask him who his favorite person was and why. When i am done talking to him about that I would ask how often he has to travel and if he gets sick of it. I would also ask where his favorite place to travel is. I think it would be pretty interesting to sit down and talk to a guy who has talked to a lot of big people.

Expertise- Balboa Island

Balboa Island is a man made island off the coast of California. In 1902, William S. Collins and C. A. Hanson bought the property from James McFadden that soon would be Balboa Island. They built the island out of sand bars and started building houses there.

At one point the residents there were having many problems. Among those problems were flimsy side walks, poor roads, and floods from the high tides. During that time houses were being abandoned on balboa island and were auctioned off for as little as $325. Things quickly changed.

Today Balboa Island is considered one of the densest communities in Orange County. Balboa Island’s population is also now denser than San Francisco’s. This year the average cost for a home on balboa island is $3,695,000. That is a lot more than when the island was first built. There is still some problems with the sewer system but for the most part it has improved a whole lot.
